The song from childhood often runs through my head – “I know my Father lives and loves me too. The Spirit whispers this to me and tells me it is true and tells me it is true.” I think I have always known that I have a loving Heavenly Father and that his Begotten Son Jesus Christ loves me too, but the realization of the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ came to me at a later age when I was watching conference at age 19. I was away at university and it was a time when some women were struggling with their role in the Church (much like is going on today). In the session where they ask us as members to raise our hands in support of the prophet Spencer W. Kimball, some of these women stood up and shouted “NO”! At that moment, my heart and mind shouted YES! and I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Church was the restored and living gospel, we have a prophet on the earth today that leads and guides us. We do have a loving Heavenly Father and a wonderful Savior. This I know. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, Amen.
